2022 Iowa Department of Correction Jail Inspection Report

The Winneshiek County Jail was inspected by the Iowa Department of Corrections on September 15, 2022, as required by Iowa Code Section 356, to ensure compliance with Chapter 201-50 of the Iowa Administrative Code.  The inspection included an examination of staff training records, required documentation, prisoner files, jail policy and procedures and a tour of the jail.

Winneshiek County Jail is a clean, well-managed, well-maintained facility.

Documentation appears to be complete and was readily assessable for inspection.

It is a pleasure to work with the professional staff of the Winneshiek County Jail.
