Applications are currently being accepted for a full-time position of Detention Officer/Jailer at the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office.  Applicants must be 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent, with college level credits preferred.  Applicants must be able to read and write the English language, pass an extensive background investigation and psychological screening.  Applicants must be of good moral character and the ability to work all shifts in a 24/7 environment, including some holidays and weekends. We offer a professional working environment with competitive salaries starting at $42,000-$46,000 along with shift differential, holiday pay and a benefits package.  With the ability to earn $56,000-$58,000 after 3 years of employment.
