The Winneshiek County 911 Communications Center is staffed by eight dedicated and highly trained dispatchers who proudly serve the residents and visitors of Winneshiek County. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, they are the reassuring voice on the other end of the line during emergencies and times of need.
Each year, our communications team answers thousands of emergency and non-emergency calls, providing a critical link between the public and emergency responders. They coordinate communications for law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services (EMS), first responders, emergency management, severe weather events, and disaster response throughout the county.
