Mission
Winneshiek County follows an Integrated Roadside Vegetation Management (IRVM) Plan to provide a long-term strategy for managing vegetation in the county right-of-way (ROW). Road corridors in the county are designed to transport people, goods safely and efficiently from one location to another. This plan promotes safer conditions for vehicles, erosion control, limit sedimentation, reduce herbicide use, and develop natural areas for wildlife especially pollinators and roadside beautification.
